Specification
Tracer Wire
A tracer wire must be installed for all pressure pipelines, including ductile iron pipes, as joints do not conduct signal.- Insulation color: black with a brown stripe
- Wire connections must be covered with a heat-shrink sleeve
- For pipes installed using the open trench method, the wire must be placed directly on top of the pipe and aligned centrally according to the design
- Use plastic cable ties to secure the wire.
- For large diameters (300 mm and above), alternative fastening methods may be used
- The spacing of fasteners should be chosen to ensure the wire remains centered
