Sampling wells are used to collect water samples from sewer pipelines. They are typically installed after treatment devices such as oil separators, grease traps, or similar systems.
Each well includes a non-return valve, which can be closed in emergency situations to prevent wastewater with unacceptable parameters from entering the main sewer system or natural water bodies.
