Septic Tank Selection

When choosing the size of a septic tank, it is important to consider the amount of wastewater that will pass through it. To ensure proper treatment efficiency, the sedimentation tank should have a capacity of 400–500 liters per person.

2000 L septic tank – suitable for treating wastewater from a household of up to 5 people
3000 L septic tank – suitable for up to 7 people
5000 L septic tank – suitable for up to 10 people
These systems are intended for residential properties not connected to a public sewer system. Wastewater from the house is mechanically pre-treated in the septic tank and then infiltrated into the ground through a soil filter. The treatment process is environmentally friendly and requires no electricity.
To use the system, a permit must be obtained from the relevant water protection authority.
The treatment system includes:
  • A three-chamber septic tank, where suspended solids are separated from the wastewater
  • A distribution chamber, which directs the pre-treated water into the infiltration pipes
  • Perforated infiltration pipes, through which the water is dispersed into the soil
  • Ventilation pipes, located at the ends of the distribution lines
  • Geotextile fabric, which prevents mixing of different soil layers
